One of the best things I ever invested in was a clear shower liner. Tonight, as I type Keyon is in the bath tub and sometimes bath time becomes SPLASH time! When he is a little out of control I just pull the shower curtain and then fold the decorative part up so I can see him and he can see me. Wonderful!
I had my first experience of using coupons today and let me tell you, it's kind of exciting! I have been following this other blog called 'Money Saving Mom' and it has all sorts of good stuff, especially helpful hints and deals to use coupons on. I sort of see it like a challenge to see how much I can get discounted with the use of a coupon. I don't buy items we don't use or things that aren't really a bargain in my eyes (ie. 25 cents off Bounty Napkins).
Bob was home early this week so we got to enjoy an extra day together today. We found a pretty neat hiking trail not far from our house and also I got the house cleaned up. Chalk that up to a good day I'd say! Not much else going on in our house this weekend. Getting some carpet put in our hallway because Bob's seeming skills are less than desired so we hired someone. Also, we have been trying to potty train Keyon but not pushing to hard. I bought some stickers and some prizes if he goes on the potty chair. The first day he did great, besides the fact he wanted to sit on the toilet for 45minutes until he went to the bathroom. He was determined to get a toy damn it! Well that was about 2 weeks ago and he has not wanted anything to do with the potty chair, until tonight. He sat down on it before getting in the bath all by himself and peed! I even did a little dance I was so excited. He was pretty thrilled too because he finally got that ball he had been eyeing for 2 weeks! Haha. Well he won't be 2 and 1/2 until September so not rushing the potty training just giving him the option. Plus it would be nice to not have to buy diapers anymore! But then again, that means more laundry for me! :-) Have a good weekend
