Swimming lessons today made me grin from ear to ear. Keyon is finally getting his balance down in the pool! It was very exciting to see him swim on his own today. He was absolutely giddy. Very very cool! I am so proud of him and can't wait to see his skills get even better.
A few weeks ago Keyon pooped in the potty chair for the first time. You know me and poop I was pretty darn ecstatic. He of course had to stand up a look in the potty every 5 seconds to see if anything was there, so we are a ways from potty training but he is definitely showing interest! The last two nights before getting in the bathtub he has peed in the potty too! Slowly but surely we'll get there.
Heather called the other day and wanted Keyon this weekend. She hasn't seen him in 6 weeks and all of a sudden wants him for a family function. She called Bob's work phone so I didn't get to talk to her. (Lucky her!) Frankly I think it is absolute BS that she wants him sometimes and then not others. I am with him everyday 24/7, he is not a prop! It's like she just wants him for the graduation party this weekend to show off to her family. I really wish she would have called the house because I would have loved to talk to her. She is such a pile of shit. She is literally the scum of the earth. We are not letting her take him this weekend as she has made no effort any other of her arranged dates and after what happened last time Bob and I are not letting her see him unsupervised. I will gladly meet her everyday at the park or beach for her to see Keyon, but do you think she takes us up on these offers?? She was supposed to be going to cosmetology school but is apparently 'taking 2 weeks off to get things together'. HA. She hasn't had a job in over 10 years and was able to get student loan money a year or so ago to go to beauty school then and never went after she cashed the check. Must be rough scamming everyone for money! Well, enough about her. She has just been annoying me this week. I'd like to punch her in the face if you ask me. But of course I won't. I've already won, I have Keyon and she is missing out on something she'll never get back.

I can understand how it would be frustrating dealing with her, but I also feel that you should be glad when she shows any interest in seeing Keyon. He does have the right to see his birth mother. I do understand if you and Bob are worried about his safety. Keyon will easily know who is taking care of him and who cares about him. I hope you are not threatened by her, because you have no reason to be.
I am glad she shows some interest in Keyon but we can't plan our life around when Heather wants to see him. According to the courts she can see him every other Wed-Fri. In the beginning we let her see him whenever she asked, but after having to call the cops on her for not cooperating and refusing to bring Keyon back we said enough is enough. We never know if she's going to want to take him during the week so if we already have him signed up for daycare or something planned, we can't just cancel because Heather called. I am absolutely not threatened by her, most weeks I don't even give her second thought because frankly she doesn't even deserve the time of day. Just venting because this week she is annoying me to no end! Thanks for listening. :-)
