I'm officially rocking my summer tan. Keyon and I spent the day at the beach and we are headed there again tomorrow. Yes, I know, life is rough! Bob told me that this is what I'm supposed to be doing, SO, I'm doing it!
Keyon had an absolute blast today at the beach and we spent most of the afternoon in the water or playing in the sand. He is eagerly looking forward to another fun day at the beach again tomorrow. Who knew Wisconsin would be so great??! The beach we went to today was in Michigan and has a beautiful white sandy beach and really, really nice play equipment next to it as well. I will definitely be going back there! Supposedly they have a bear and some deer and other wildlife in the park too so we'll have to investigate that a little more next time we head there.
Bob is near Chicago doing night work this week so he's usually pretty wiped when he's home on the weekends but last Saturday we floated down the river behind our house. It was a really good time. The Menominee River is the natural border between Wisconsin and Michigan and is directly behind our home. Bob has a small boat with a motor that we took and did a little fishing from it as well. Keyon who is now an avid swimmer spent most of the time jumping in and out of the boat. His smile was priceless! I also tried to tip over the boat that afternoon. As Bob was trying to get a snag out of the tree (He claims he was catching a 'tree bass') he decided to go pee on the shore. I was supposed to be keeping the boat from floating away and tipped over in my bag/fold up chair and about went overboard. I was of course giggling histerically because I basically could not do anything and Bob had to set me back up. Needless to say the boat did not tip, but it was a good laugh.
Well I am getting sleepy and need to get ready for bed. To the beach!
