Some great finds!

Well I had to brag a little about my good finds at the local second hand store.  I bought a few household decorating things and thought I would share my deals!!  :-)

This was 79 cents!

 This was $1.50

This was $1

I also got some really cute Christmas stuff that I will post later.  I walked out of the store with 2 brown paper bags full and it was only 10 dollars.  Things like that really toot my horn :-)

I started the Atkins diet today.  My biggest struggle is going to be sweets and milk!  I will miss carrots too :-(  But I need something that works, so I'll give it a try.  Today hasn't been too tough, but then again it's only day 1!  Ha ha.  They say the first few days are the worst.  Can't wait.  Bob didn't want me to tell too many people that I was going to do Atkins in case I miserably failed.  He was worried people would see me and be like, "oh, you're still fat...what happened?" Lol.  I guess I didn't see it as that big of deal.  If I fail, I fail.  All I can do is try!  I even tempted myself today with making Bob cookies and rice crispy bars.  It really wasn't that tempting until I was making the rice crispy bars and some got on my fingers... I really wanted to lick it off!  I know I probably could of and it wouldn't have been that big of deal but I really want to follow it by the book, especially the first 2 weeks.  This is called the induction phase and when you usually lose the most weight.  But also the strictest part of it.  Basically what I will be eating the next two weeks is:   eggs, bacon, hamburger, steak, every kind of fish (perch, walleye, halibut to name a few), shrimp, ham, turkey and salad.  I know I said salad... can you believe it?  :-)  I can also have a few veggies so will throw in some of them too.  But there are only a select few I can eat and most of them I've never tried, so GUESS WHAT??  I am going to try something new!!  I know you are all very proud of picky ole me!

My starting weight this morning was 209.4.  I am not going to weigh myself til next Monday so will update you then.  Looking to lose 10% in two weeks which would be 20 pounds.  Wouldn't that be amazing!?!  Bob is really supportive and offered to do it with me, but I told him that I still have to feed Keyon a balanced diet so he should just eat the same too.  I think he is looking forward to me trying a few new things more than anything!

Other than that don't know a whole lot else.  Midterms coming up this week so busy studying for those.  Luckily I only have 2 midterm tests out of 6 classes otherwise I'd have my work cut out for me.  Keyon is growing and learning more and more everyday.  He is always amazing me and of course melting my heart.  What a sweetheart.  Below is a picture of him when we were in Rapid City for Adam and Alisha's wedding.  He thought it would be fun to wear the shower cap at our hotel.  Wish me luck on No Carbs!  (well very minimal anyway..)
