Wambulance

Sounds like the story out west is that Keyon got everyone sick... including me!  Well I highly doubt Keyon was the culprit for everyone else at the wedding as he wasn't contagious when he was there, but I suppose I'll take the blame.  :-) But, yes I am sick.  I went to the the doctor yesterday and got some meds though.  Lovely ear infection.  Yay me.  If I wasn't dropped so many times as a child maybe I wouldn't have this problem!?  Just kidding mom.

Keyon was a little pill at the doctors office and ended up throwing his truck across the room.  I pretended that he hurt the truck and when we left the doctor's office (which is right across from the hospital) Keyon through an absolute fit that I would not take his truck to the hospital.  I about died laughing.  He has a little play mat at home that he drives his cars on and it has a hospital on there.  When Bob or I play with him we always say when the truck has owies they have to go get better.  I am not sure what the nurse would say if I really went in to the hospital demanding to get my son's tractor looked at.  Oh the joys of parenthood.

This morning I awoke to find our huge yellow lab sleeping on the couch (New in July).  I could not believe my eyes!  That fat butt was up there snoozing away.  He is losing his hearing so didn't hear me walk in the living room. He was SOOO busted!  Needless to say he'll be sleeping out in the den tonight :-)

Last time I took Oscar to the groomer it was an absolute disaster.  She said she wouldn't take him again unless he was sedated and continuously yelled and screamed at him.  I know he is a pain, but seriously she was not getting anywhere by screaming at him.  Anyway, so I have been pondering whether or not I should just try to give him a hair cut myself or not.  Well tonight I took the plunge and pulled out the clippers.  Oh my, I think I did the worst job possible.  He currently is only half done as I couldn't get him to sit very well with Keyon being a wild child right next to him.  He looks pretty bad and I'm sure all the neighborhood dogs will laugh at him.  Poor puppy!  I am always a stickler about reading directions before anything (I mean anything!) but decided to wing it this time.  I probably should have watched the DVD that came with the clippers before buzzing away.  Oh well, I guess I'll get better with practice!  Anyway,  Keyon heads back to Heather's tomorrow so I'll finish up Oscar's haircut then when I don't have any distractions.  Better get to bed though... I turn into a pumpkin in 45 minutes!
