The simple joys of my life....

Leave it to me to get excited about automatic garage door openers and deep fryers. You know you are getting old when these things make your day! :-) The other night Bob and I were in the basement packing up some of Heather's crap to give to her and found a brand new deep fryer. Yippee! I have been wanting one because we don't have one that works. We don't fry a whole lot of food, but every once and a while we have french fries or tater tots, and we just bake them. Much better for you, but doesn't mean it always tastes as good as deep fat frying! So that was the first excitement, and then last night we worked on the garage door. We have really really old garage door openers and Bob has never had a remote to open them just the buttons by the front door. Bob said he had looked into a universal remote before but couldn't find one for a good price or one that he thought would be compatible with the ancient garage door opener already installed. Well a few weeks back we bought a universal remote to try and just have never got around to seeing if it would work. We opened the package and looked at the directions but it has sat on top of the microwave since then. Also, a few weeks ago when we had to wait over 3 hours to meet Keyon's mom I ended up reading my entire owner's manual to my car. Obviously I was very bored! Ha. Well, I discovered that I can program the buttons in my car for a garage door opener. So last night after a little investigation we were able to program both doors to the remote we bought and both doors to my car as well. I was tickled pink! :-) Pretty sad when that's what floats my boat for the day! Haha.

Keyon and I are just hanging out this morning as Bob went in to Green Bay for a work meeting. It was absolutely gorgeous yesterday, but rainy and gloomy today. Not fun when you have to keep a 2 year old corralled inside after having free reign outside for a few days.

I'm very tired this morning as Bob thought it would be a good idea to hit his snooze for an entire HOUR this morning! I about decked him. Snoozing is a huge pet peeve of mine. Just have to take a nap with Keyon later :-) Hope everyone has a great day!
