Will you be my Valentine?

Happy Valentine's Day! Well not quite, but tonight B and I are celebrating with his family by going out to eat at a really fancy restaurant on the edge of Lake Michigan. It really doesn't get any better than this! I can't wait til Spring and Summer when everything is green and we will be able to sit out on the patio of some of these great places and enjoy the lake. I never imagined I would say I see Lake Michigan every day when I go to school. Pretty amazing. B has been working all week so we will look forward to just a relaxing weekend before we get little man on Sunday. Hopefully the exchange goes without drama. It has been going good the past few weeks but don't want to get too cocky. She tends to find some crazy excuse not to show up or to be late. Last week she called after we had dropped off K and told some crazy ass story about a car accident her other child was in a week ago. WTF. She is definitely off her rocker. We were on our way to church so the call got disconnected and she never called back so obviously there was an ulterior motive here. Whatever, not going to waste time wondering what is going through her head. I am just excited to have K back. Its been a really good week, but I miss the little bugger!

I have been quite the suzie home maker this past week making banana bread, cake for B's work, and last night sugar cookies. I love to make cut out cookies and frost them for valentine's day. This morning I woke up at about 3am to go to the bathroom and was wide awake so eventually ended up getting up. I was going to do the dishes (we have a good pile going from my baking and homemade pizza last night) but figured I would wake B up. He is up every morning at 4:30am and didn't want to disturb his sleep, I can go back to bed any time! Anyway, so I ended up watching a little TV and then frosting my cookies. Made B's coffee and talked with him before he left. Ended up going back to bed when he left and slept good. I know I am weird, but after I was awake I thought of all these things I could be doing and couldn't fall back asleep.

Went to class this morning, came home washed the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen and bit and then went a sorted laundry. Just waiting for B to get home from work so we can run some errands before supper tonight. Happy V-day everyone! Hope your valentine treats you as good as mine does :-)
